Butterfly is a $100 million dollar start up with a mission to democratize healthcare by making medical imaging accessible to everyone around the world. They've created the world's first single-probe, whole-body imaging device that plugs into an iphone.
We designed an identity to synchronize with their physical and digital product experiences.
We carried out close to 50 explorations of a butterfly in our internal design process to create something distinct.
Our goal was to design a symbol that is easy to recognize on a pocket-sized device. It was important to create the "moment", a first time experience users won't forget.
